A response

 You know, Ms M, you're right about me. Maybe I am crushed beyond comprehension. But I still get by, don't I? They call me a player, say I can't seem to fall in love. And every time they say it, it crushes me even more. Because maybe—just maybe—it's true. But you know what? No one ever bothers to ask why I'm the way I am.

Well, today, I've learned a lesson: "know when to stop."

I've become what I am because I've learned something crucial: what I can't control, I can only accept. And I can only control myself, and—whoever I let in.
